Hi Rachel & Desiree!!!
Good morning everybody :)
Can only stay a short time, as I have a schedule conflict. Karim--how do you get the landscape behind you?
If we need to leave early, if there are resources will those be sent out to us?
Good morning/afternoon 😊
Hi Roni! The webinar is being recording and posted as part of the series. Additional resources will be posted. Check out aces.nmsu.edu and click on "response to COVID-19" for resources. Resources are continually being added.

haven’t been sleeping well
Just sitting and working on the computer. Too many webinars. Not sleeping well.
over thinking everything and anxiety
having a hard time falling asleep!
I have intentionally reminded myself to be very gentle when talking with parents, students, etc. To validate and affirm their experiences as well as my own.
irritability and moodiness, cant sleep
not sleeping at all. Melatonin, zquil, chamomile tea not helping
can’t find the energy for anything, eating way more than usual and very moody.
I am tired. I have been sleeping plenty, but I feel exhausted by the end of the day.
had a hard time adjusting to not seeing my family and it made me sad
headaches, and having a hard time sleeping
Overthinking things. Projecting into the future. Must pull myself back and stay very present.
very sad for my kids because they are so so tired of being stuck in the house
Cristina del Palacio
daily headache 🤕
Covid dreams, trouble concentrating, extra tired
In the beginning I couldn’t concentrate working from home and not being able to accept that I will not be able to visit the centers
making sure I get things done and feel like I’m not meeting our kids needs at school.
I lose my Uncle, my Aunt and Cousin all from the same family and stressing over my older sister's test result to come in. Just hoping and praying she is negative.
I had to accept that I can't be as productive and practicing mindfulness has help
Oh Janetjoe, I'm so sorry
so sorry Janetjoe
Janetjoe, Im so sorry for your lose my prayers to you and your family
I’m so sorry for your loss JanetJoe, my prayers are with you and your family
Thank you so much, all of you. I really appreciate that.
learning to work from home.
This looks like me :)
Yep - that's me.
I work more than ever…. 10-12 hours per day. Working hard getting back my balance
taking walks outside/ work in my garden
Separating work and personal time to different rooms in the house and going for walks or drives.
at times stressful but really so blsessed
It has actually brought my family closer together, but I have to balance work and homeschool for kids.
it’s hard to have an adult conversation with my spouse because the kids can hear everything
It's a lot, but we all take breaks throughout the day and that seems essential. I've decided that it's ok to take those breaks.
I agree Rebecca
It has been difficult to maintain routine and balance. Everyday is new. However my daughters are bonding really well!
Family time has been great, I believe this has made us get closer as a family and communicate better.
I am an essential employee in 2 companies. So I am away from the house 6 days a week. I see my family less now than before. Plus some personal challenges that has been greatly affecting my kids
I've decided I love to take walks. That helps with decompressing.
Hi rpatty, thank you for what you're doing to help us all. Please hang in thre.
Creative idea... a friend of mine (empty nesters) are having zoom game night with their adult children who live in different states. Mother's Day dinner zoom is planned as well. :)
My kids are adults and we are all apart, they started a story writing that we share, where you give a prompt to someone and they write about it. It's been really fun, takes your mind of things because you are thinking about a story to write. It helps takes some stress off.
I've done a friendsgiving with a few friends of mine. We set a $$ limit and drop off at their doors. Then we do a zoom, open our packages and have a fun zoom time.
my husband and I go for a walk at night to give us time to talk alone.
I set my alarm on my phone for scheduled breaks....I lose track of time and sit at the computer for too long at a time.
I take my kids for a walk, and read stores before bed.
Our family uses google duo to play games, eat together and just to visit!
Lots of boundaries around separating work and personal time. Turning everything off from work to completely switch. Zoom meetings with friends.
attending mass virtually and prayer has helped me tremendously
Continue my routines… wake up early, pray, meditate, make up, dress sport/causual… STOP for lunch, then stop at least at 7pm for dinner. Keeping routines help me a lot
We gather in the backyard and play with my 1 1/2 grandchild. Lots of fun games and food.
remove myself from the computer at 5 and on weekends
Evening bike rides or walks, zoom wine nights with friends
I try to get my kids out first thing in the morning to burn some energy before I sit down to work. I then ensure that we spend the evening outside as well.
we decided that eating at a table, not at our desks, makes us remember to break and see each other
My family has been using the Marco Polo app to communicate with each other and stay in touch. This is an app for video messaging - messages are recorded and then sent, so you do not all have to be on the same time.
we are huggers and its hard to just say hello from a distance
My program and I have been doing daily workouts, 30-45 minutes, via Zoom
I bought cards at Dollar Tree. I send out a card via snail mail (chosen randomly) at least a couple times a week.
We have fun together!
On Friday afternoons, our program has a support group where we get together on Zoom and have discussion on how we are doing, what we are doing to cope, discuss family life, etc.
My family sets up zoom and we visit with everyone then, This with all my Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins. Its been really helpful, and so good to see other family members.
Remember to breathe!
thank you for this nice and useful information.
Creating a more specific schedule for work and family time. Working on remembering everything right now is temporary and take advantage of the time to create new patterns that I want with my family and to make it less work and more joy
Can yo send copy of the presentation?
will you be sharing breathing techniques?
You can also join the Family Dinner Project on Facebook and they will send you daily and weekly ideas!
thank you! :)
