Well said, Diana. There is a DEI council within AND, so there's awareness and effort, and we have a long way to go.

I got my RD in 1975 and at that time there was 1.1% of Dietitians that were Hispanic. In 2012, it was up to only 4%. What does that tell you?

It's up to all of us to hold AND accountable. Engage and stay involved!

How about recruitment at high schools? Informing about this profession.
