Does cut material attracting pests apply to woodpiles as well?

01:08:22
Great question, Marcy! I'm adding chat questions to the Q&A session at the end. 👍

01:30:13
What are Bristle Cone Pines susceptible to in Northern NM?

01:37:56
If water is the answer, then why are we learning about the kind of pesticides to use, instead of learning about inoculating the soil around the tree with compost that would help to create structure of the soil and therefore have more water infiltration to have the tree to use or even prevent the disease to begin with? All those pesticides are salts, finding that very counter productive.

01:41:10
have to leave many thanks.

01:41:53
Sorry if I missed, but what is the definition of secondary pest?

01:45:05
Hi Lina,Thank you for your comment. In this talk, we are addressing common evergreen pests. Last year, we presented "Healthy Soils" and "Home Composting" Both have good soil information. You can find those presentations here: https://aces.nmsu.edu/desertblooms/ready-set-grow.html

01:50:47
I hear that mulch right up against the bark also burns trunks. How do you mitigate both water burn AND mulch burn?

01:52:22
Is this information meant just for pinon pines and juniper trees?

01:53:26
Thank you great presentation

01:54:10

01:54:19
