I have a question - can you use water from a rain barrel that smells bad? One of my barrels tends to make the water kind of gross after just a day or so

We had a very Simple Passive system in our last home, and I hope to make something in our new home.

2 rain barrels under canales, and 2 more added when we re did the roof and added gutters. Yay!

For annual rain barrel cleaning what products work the best?

I have l55 gallon barrels that I have used bungee cords to hold window screening.

Do you need to be concerned about the type of soaps you're using for grey water systems?

We EVen save our corn on cob water to dump on plants.Is this OK?

I also siphon bath water from the 2nd floor to water lavender under the window.

Do copper storage containers have anti-microbial properties? obviously thinking about smaller containers would be affordable…

I put veggie water plus cold water for close to the door pots.

Wondering about the best way to transport water from a rain barrel towards pots, or garden beds?
