I used to eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich before a 2-3 hour scuba dive and swim in Hawaii and never had a hypoglycemic episode on a dive.I also dropped my insulin dose.

I had a client once tell me that exercise increased their glucose. Have you heard of this or know why this would happen?
Susan Perry
03:37:33
the 15:15 rule: take 15 gm. carb and re-check blood sugar in 15 minutes. liquid is the fastest.

When co-creating physical activity/exercise goals with clients, it’s helpful to remember that we don’t have to have all the answers as the practitioner. Asking clients what they’re willing to try or what seems realistic for them, recognizing them as the experts in their own lives, is important. It can be stressful to think that we have to know all the answers for each patient, when there is no way we possibly could!
