Hi Cindy, I raw packed some chile peppers (jalapenos, seranos,) from our garden in a vinegar brine. I did not blanch them before- can that interfere with the product?

Did you say that all canning jars can be used to freeze things? I know you have to leave room for the food to expand in freezing, but I have still had a high breakage rate with Ball and Kerr jars. Could my chest freezer be too cold?

Thank you for that, Rachel…it’s been quart jars breaking!

01:43:42
could you repeat info on size of jars & safety & brands

01:44:27
Freeze-safe jars (for Kerr/Ball) are all jars smaller than pint-size. For pint-size jars, only the wide-mouth jars are freeze-safe.

01:44:35
Is the Taos County extension office open at this point? Could you share the contact information for them?
